To give back to my community in the midst of an election year-- especially one that will deeply affect youth issues- I felt compelled to do something.
As manager of mentor activities for New Voters- an entirely student-run youth voter registration organization, I formulated 3 iterations of an 8-week curriculum and eventually a 4-week curriculum that mobilized over 100 college-aged mentors as they led mentees to run voter registration drives at the high school level. For my work, I was the organization's first intern of the week for my communication with and oversight of 10 cohorts. One of only 2 high school-aged interns to be selected to serve in the mentorship department whose efforts led to the 40,000 students New Voters registered to vote before the 2020 election.
See the simplified graphics of my timelines below! Additionally, in order to learn more about the nationally implemented oversight sight, I created check out out the linked pdfs.

In addition to working as an intern on New Voters, I was also 1 of 20 selected multimedia summer internship under Dr. Lorene Cary- Vote that Jawn. Within it, I co-authored Philadelphia specific Voter registration guides that fight voter intimidation tactics. Additionally I oversaw social media series and hosted speakers. Designed graphics and coordinated publicity for our summer voter registration
